Cedar Carpet
Inspired by the forests of the Pacific Northwest Turner reduced the randomness of cedar bark into vibrant felt pen drawings. These drawings became the catalyst for collaborating with Kate Thornley-Hall, a Toronto design firm that produces a carpet collection as well as a line of wall coverings and fabrics. Using Chinese silk and Himalayan wool in a varied colour palette, the sheen and texture of the motif are enriched while the original bold patterning remains constant.
The carpets are individually produced in Nepal and are made to order.
